The Comedy About a Bank Robbery - Six Crooks, One Diamond - What Could Go Wrong?
The Olivier Award-winning Mischief Theatre was founded in 2008 by a group of LAMDA students, and two of its original members, Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer, still remain at the helm, with three major smash hit productions under their belt and another hitting the stage in spring. The group burst into the spotlight with The Play That Goes Wrong in 2012 and after touring the UK it landed at the Duchess Theatre in the West End, where it received rave reviews and won Best New Comedy at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards. The production follows The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they attempt to put on a 1920s murder mystery, but with an accident-prone cast, all manner of disasters ensue as the players struggle through every scene.
After the success of Christmas 2015's Peter Pan Goes Wrong the talented trio, including Henry Shields, are back this spring with a new dose of hilarity. Directed by Mark Bell and starring the writers themselves, this new production follows a bunch of useless criminals as they attempt to outwit a guard and steal a prize diamond. Finding its home at the Criterion Theatre, it promises to a rip roaring feat of comedy, so be sure not to miss out - get The Comedy About a Bank Robbery tickets now on StubHub UK.
