The Drums Tickets
The Drums TicketsIn 2008, childhood friends Jonathan Pierce and Jacob Graham formed the band The Drums, an indie-pop band known for its dynamic stage shows that showcase an updated brand of '80s-style sound. The Drums made its mark on the music scene fairly quickly. The Drums was ranked as the No. 5 act for the BBC Sound of 2010 poll, was named in NME's first issue of 2010 as the No. 1 top pick of the year for bands to check out and was voted Pitchfork's Best Hope For 2010 in a 2009 readers' poll. The Drums enjoy self-producing its own music and keeps its songs brutally honest and completely bold. It is the emotional rawness and authenticity in the songs that makes The Drums so iconic.
The Drums: And Then There Was OneThe Drums began as a foursome but now is comprised solely of Jonathan Pierce, who has touring members join him when on tour. The first member to leave The Drums was the guitarist, Adam Kessler, who left in 2010 with no reason given. In 2011, the remaining band members revealed in an interview that they almost broke up over stylistic differences. In 2012, Connor Hanwick left the group, leaving only the two founding members, Jonathan Pirce and Jacob Graham. In 2017, Graham left the band so he could focus on puppetry and his side band, Sound of Ceres. Jonathan Pierce decided to continue making music on his own under the name The Drums.
