The theatre today

 The theatre was destroyed by a fire in 2002. Several theatre companies campaigned to local councils to have it reinstated, and finally the Westminster council granted permission in 2009 for it to be restored as a theatre. In 2012, the venue as we see it today opened as St. James Theatre, where the program hosted a variety of comedy, jazz, musicals, drama, cabaret, and theatre. LW Theatres acquired the venue in 2016 and refurbished the building in January 2017 before reopening it as The Other Palace in February 2017.
