The Raconteurs Tickets
The Raconteurs TicketsAt the pinnacle of The White Stripes' popularity, Jack White formed The Raconteurs with fellow indie-rock musician Brendan Benson, and its acoustic-pop lead single, "Steady as She Goes," paved the way for a fruitful, long-term collaboration. Two well-received studio albums, Broken Boy Soldiers and Consolers of the Lonely, debuted in 2006 and 2008, respectively. Because of its status as a supergroup, the band was able to sell out shows immediately when it hit the road, and one of its first tours was in support of Bob Dylan. The Raconteurs had an extended hiatus while the members pursued other musical projects, but it reunited to release its third studio album, Help Us Stranger, in 2019. The record prominently showcases a cover of "Hey Gyp (Dig the Slowness)" by Donovan, and it was preceded by a double A-side single featuring "Sunday Driver" and "Now That You're Gone." After issuing the album on Third Man Records, the group subsequently announced its first major headlining tour in a decade.
The Raconteurs: Detroit Born and RaisedBoth frontmen of The Raconteurs can trace their trademark garage-blues sound to respective roots in Michigan. Each guitarist demonstrates the grittiness and lo-fi punk style of Detroit's late '90s hard rock scene. The group's local contemporaries include The Von Bondies, The Dirtbombs and Kid Rock. Brendan Benson's first album, One Mississippi, arrived in 1996; meanwhile, The White Stripes dropped its self-titled debut album in 1999. The parallel ascents of both musicians didn't officially cross paths until 2003 when The White Stripes issued a cover of Benson's track "Good to Me" as the B-side to its mega-hit "Seven Nation Army." When the pair inevitably teamed up, The Raconteurs' first two albums were each nominated for Grammy Awards in the category of Best Rock Album.
