The Band's Story So Far
The Story So Far got the inspiration for its name from a New Found Glory song of the same name after the group formed in Walnut Creek, Calif., back in 2007. A few months after releasing a self-produced EP, the band got a record deal with Pure Noise. This allowed them to quickly release another EP. In 2011, The Story So Far released the debut album, Under Soil and Dirt. The album was well-received and got positive reviews. It contains popular songs such as "Roam," "High Regard" and "Quicksand," which became the band's first song to get a music video. Popularity skyrocketed after the second album was released. What You Don't See made its way onto the Billboard 200 chart where it peaked at No. 46. The album was met entirely by positive reviews and charted on lists of the year's best albums by magazines such as Rock Sound and Alternative Press. The Story So Far's 2015 self-titled album continued the upward trend when it peaked at No. 23. "Heavy Gloom" is The Story So Far's most notable single. Most recently, Proper Dose was released in September 2018. The No. 19-charting album produced five singles, which was more than any of the band's previous albums produced. "Out of It" was released significantly ahead of the album. "Let It Go," "Upside Down," "Take Me As You Please" and "Proper Dose" were released as promotional singles for Proper Dose. Music videos were made for "Proper Dose" and "Upside Down."
