Opened in July 2016, The Underground is bringing in talent from all over the world. From favorite local bands, to national touring acts, the Underground features rock, pop, hip-hop and EDM.
The Underground's History
Located adjacent to the Fillmore Charlotte, the Underground has played host to national touring artists, as well as some of the hottest local talent. Although the Underground is nestled on the same property as the Fillmore Charlotte, it is a singular venue accommodating smaller, more intimate shows. The Underground opened her doors in July of 2016 featuring the local sounds of Fiftywatt Freight Train and Something Clever.
A visit to the Underground offers live music and entertainment with an emphasis on local art, craft beers and state-of-the art light and sound. Entertainment options have previously included acts such as Bad Seed Rising and the Revivalists.
Although the focus is on small local and touring bands, the Underground also plays host to special events and music-themed festivities such as AltNation's Advanced Placement Tour and Matchbox 20 Tributes, open to fans of all ages.
The Underground Seating and Interior Layout
The 750-person capacity venue offers general admission ticketing, with only a small number of VIP seats available. The Underground and Fillmore Charlotte are adjoining facilities located at the North Carolina Music Factory Complex and are operated by LiveNation.
Following with the traditional fashion of the Fillmore, the Underground maintains the hardwood floors, red interior and classic chandelier look, within a more intimate setting. The new outdoor veranda is intended to highlight the Underground's distinctive features and state-of-the art sound and lighting system.
The interior of the Underground features a VIP Lounge, limited VIP seating, three bars located strategically throughout the venue, all serving to highlight the stage area and the featured talent of the night.
General Admission ticketing for the Underground provides each guest with the opportunity to move about the entire venue indoors, as well as the outdoor veranda, allowing for the ultimate one-of-a-kind music experience.
Charlotte, North Carolina

Another popular destination for visitors to Charlotte is the BB&T Ballpark. The BB&T showcases some of the south's finest minor league baseball.
