The son of Major League Baseball player Tug McGraw, Tim McGraw began his career in music by heading to Nashville, Tenn., in 1989. His self-titled debut album, Tim McGraw, did not find commercial success. His slow start in the country music world soon launched forward with the release of his second album, Not a Moment Too Soon. The album's first single, "Indian Outlaw," reached No. 8 and No. 15 on the US country charts and the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
