U.S. Senior Open TicketsThe U.S. Senior Open has been a part of the United States Golf Association since its inaugural championship event at the Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, New York, in 1980. This senior division was instituted in response to the growing popularity of senior golf at both amateur and professional levels and was originally open to golfers aged 55 years and older. The next year, the age requirement was dropped to 50 years of age to better mirror the then-named Senior Tour, now known as the PGA Tour Champions. Arnold Palmer, 51, won the championship that year. Palmer became the second golfer at that time to win three different USGA championships. Watching these seasoned players compete reminds everyone why they love the game, and having different venues host the championship every year adds refreshing novelty each time.
