What is the Uptown Theater's seating capacity?

The Uptown Theater can seat 1,700 people when in Full House configuration. That capacity may be smaller when the house is set up with tables on the floor or a general admission floor.

Where are the best Uptown Theater seats located?

In the center of the orchestra are three rows with 13 seats each extending forward to the stage ahead of all the other seating. These 39 seats are the best seats in the house at the Uptown. The front of the balcony, rows A through F, also provide an excellent view of the stage.

Is the Uptown Theater accessible by public transportation?

There is a complimentary shuttle you can take to the Uptown from the 816 Hotel. Otherwise, you can take the 47 bus to the Broadway and 37th Street stop. Also stopping close to Uptown Theater are the 51 and 55 lines on SW Trafficway at 37th Street and the 35 line on Main Street at 37th Street.

Is there on-site parking?

Immediately north of the Uptown Theater are the Uptown Shoppes with a parking lot guests of the theater can use for free.

On site at the Uptown Theater is a full bar serving wine, beer, liquor, juice, water and soda. For certain events, satellite bars may also be situated around the theater providing a selection of beverages for cash purchase only. There is also an abundance of quality restaurants at different price ranges nearby, including Hamburger Mary's, Mesob Restaurant, Island Spice, Pancho's and Jimmy John's. No outside food or drink is allowed in the theater.

Other entertainment possibilities close by the Uptown Theater include the Madrid Theatre, Loose Mansion, MCC-Penn Valley Carter Arts Center and the Riot Room.

Are backstage passes available or other opportunities to meet the bands?

All backstage passes and meet-and-greet opportunities are arranged by the respective artist's management team or the event's promoter. When offered, these are usually made available through local fan clubs and radio stations. Uptown Theater does not sell or distribute any such passes or opportunities.

How does Uptown Theater handle General Admission seating?

When a show includes general admission tickets, ticket holders are allowed entry on a first-come-first-served basis and may take whatever spot in the general admission area they wish. Usually, these include an open standing room area by the stage and certain fixed seating in the balcony and the rear of the theater. Uptown Theater cannot reserve spaces or seats in the general admission areas. In addition, a General Admission spot is only yours while you occupy it. If you leave the spot for any reason, another general admission ticket-holder is welcome to claim it.Back to Top
