Vermont Catamounts Hockey TicketsThe Vermont Catamounts have a long tradition of hockey. The team — named for the beloved eastern cougars once seen frequently in the state but now considered extinct — first joined the NCAA for the 1963-64 season. Through the decades, the Catamounts have forged a strong bond with local hockey fans. Kevin Sneddon has coached the team since 2003 and was to retire at the end of the 2019-2020 season. A national search for his replacement began as soon as he announced his plans. Before coaching, Sneddon played college hockey at a high level as part of Harvard's 1989 NCAA championship team. During his tenure as coach, the Vermont Catamounts also had some playoff success. The team made it to the Frozen Four round of the NCAA Tournament in 2009. The team posted three 20-plus win seasons, in 2004-2005, 2008-2009 and 2014-2015. Offensively, in recent years, the team has been led by players like forward Ace Cowans and defenseman Andrew Lucas. Team members are dedicated to the sport and show a lot of heart. Visit StubHub to grab your Vermont Catamount hockey tickets today.
