Warren Haynes grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, where he started playing the guitar when he was 12 years old. Even though Haynes was just 20 years old, he continued to impress audiences as well as fellow musicians whenever he took the stage to perform alongside Coe. Following his time in Coe's band, Haynes played with bands like The Nighthawks and Dickey Betts. During the late 1980s, Haynes joined The Allman Brothers Band as a guitarist, and he spent several years recording and touring with this iconic Southern rock outfit. In 1997, Haynes left The Allman Brothers Band in order to form a new band, Gov't Mule.
Not only has Haynes played in bands like Gov't Mule and the Allman Brothers Band, but this talented guitarist has also performed many times with the surviving members of the Grateful Dead.
