After spending time focusing on Cloud Nothing and producing music, he released his first single, "Summer Holiday." Wild Nothing caught the attention of indie rock fans when he covered the Kate Bush song "Cloudbusting." It was not until 2010 that Cloud Nothing released the full-length album Gemini. Pitchfork Media to an instant liking to the album and ranked the album as the 49th best one in 2010. It landed in the 36th position the same year on Amazon Music Editors' list. The next album, Nocturne, received commercial success and debuted in the number one slot on the Billboard Charts for New Artist. It also received positive reviews from Pitchfork Media when it was considered Best New Music by the organization. The third album was started in January 2015 when the artist travelled to Stockholm to record it.

During a conversation with Interview Magazine, Jack Tatum discussed how he felt about how quickly his career as a musician progressed. He explained, "Definitely. Anyone who knows me would say that it's been really strange for me, and I'm not a person who's super used to the spotlight. So for all this to happen as quickly as it has, it's been so wonderful but also really weird in terms of my personal life. That Bowery show was our first really big headlining show."
When the opportunity arises, don't miss your chance to see Wild Nothing in concert. It is impressive to think that Jack Tatum is one man behind the music and pulls together the band for performances only. According to Interview Magazine, "Technology's impact on music can be measured in one undeniable way over the past few years: the huge proliferation of one-man bands, young (mostly) dudes working under some vague band moniker, who would rather make music on their own—thank you very much!—ensconced in their rooms and not playing well with others. That is, until a debut EP catches blog fire, and live shows must be played, requiring a proper live band." In the case of Wild Nothing, it goes to show just how talented Jack Tatum is and the musicians that are able to pick up the music created by another musician and play it with such skill. Make sure you keep an eye on StubHub to not miss your opportunity to see Wild Nothing in concert. It is a wonderful indie dream pop experience.
