Yokohama Stadium is a sports stadium in Yokohama, Japan, which opened in 1978. The stadium is mainly used for baseball and is the home to Yokohama DeNa BayStars. The stadium has also held an Australian Rules football game, drawing the biggest crowd for the sport outside of Australia. Michael Jackson, The King of Pop, performed 5 shows at the stadium in the 1980s on his tour for the Bad album. Almost 250,000 fans saw his shows, with nearly 50,000 people at each gig. Apart from Jackson, another big-name artist, Tina Turner, played at the stadium in 1988. Madonna's "Blond Ambition Tour" also visited in the arena, in fact, one of the shows on the tour was filmed for her 1990 live concert video.
