We all know the ACC is as good as it gets in college basketball,
but the Clemson Tigers have one of those programs that always has exciting players who can matchup on the hardwood with the
best of the best in college basketball. Come out and see all of the highlight-reel slams, spectacular blocked shots and smooth
three-pointers and you'll be glad that you're not still sitting at home when you could actually be in the stands watching
the excitement up close and personal. From home games against perennial powerhouses to road matchups against teams the Tigers
don't often get to play, the 2014-2015 schedule is packed with opportunities for Tigers fans.
The Tigers always have
a hard-nosed team that is willing to do all the little things that win college basketball games, making them a difficult matchup
for any squad that takes the floor against them. The Tigers will look to play disciplined basketball, because they know that
is what they'll see from the Tigers. Winning the final home game of the season is always something that the Tigers want to
accomplish, and it could make all the difference in the conference standings as well. When the game is on the line and the
Tigers are looking for one more clutch bucket to seal the deal, you'll see loud and clear why it doesn't get any better than
watching college hoops when it's played at this level.
Clemson Tigers Team Info
A basketball program doesn't
find the kind of success that the Clemson Tigers have without seeing some truly great players come through the program. The
Tigers have seen some incredible athletes hit the floor in the name of Clemson, perhaps none more heralded than Larry Nance.
Nance put together an impressive collegiate career for the Tigers before moving on to play on the pro level in the National
Basketball Association. Nance would average 17 points and eight rebounds during his pro career, leaving his mark on the NBA
as a very good player. Other notable Clemson players to move on to the NBA include Horace Grant, Elden Campbell and Dale Davis,
and you never know when the next great player is going to burst onto the scene with a banner game or season that has everyone
around campus buzzing.
NCAA Basketball Experience
There's nothing like being in the stands when the game
is on the line, so ditch the couch, brush off the potato chips and get ready to see a game you won't soon forget. College
basketball has plenty of great games on the schedule each and every season, from plenty of top-tier regular season battles
to Tournament clashes that you'll have to see first-hand to believe. These are some of the best amateur athletes in the entire
world, though that's something that you need to see for yourself to truly appreciate. When you're there alongside thousands
of excitable fans for a crucial matchup featuring a team like the Clemson Tigers, you'll see that it doesn't get any better
Clemson Tigers History
Thanks to some amazing runs through the Tournament and nearly a dozen
different appearances in the Big Dance, you can count on Clemson to have a great team that is always looking to make a move
up the conference standings. It doesn't help that they have to go up against Duke, North Carolina and Syracuse routinely,
not to mention plenty of other top-tier programs, but looking at their history will point to a steady stream of big wins that
have helped solidify them as icons of the local sports scene around Clemson, South Carolina. This is a team that has been
to the Sweet Sixteen on three different occasions and are very familiar with the NCAA Tournament, helping build them into
a powerhouse program that continues to compete against some of the most well-known teams in the nation.
Did you know that the Clemson Tigers have made it to the Sweet Sixteen on three different occasions?
the Tigers tend to have some great players from year to year, it really came together for them in 1980, 1990 and again in
1997, when this program went through the first two rounds and made it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen. There has never been
a better time to come out and see if they have what it takes to get right back to the Big Dance and potentially the latter
rounds, as this is a team that definitely isn't going to go quietly in the ultra-competitive ACC.
Littlejohn Coliseum is usually filled to the brim with excited fans come game-time, and that's a tradition that
isn't likely to end any time in the near future. If you've never been out to the Coliseum for a big game, you have absolutely
no idea what you've been missing, as there is nothing quite like being in the stands when the game is on the line and the
clock is dwindling late in the fourth quarter. Though we know it's tempting to just stay at home and catch the score or highlights
on your smart phone, it's a completely different level of experience to be there with the rest of the fans for all the crucial
moments of a big game.
