South Florida Bulls Basketball Schedule
The South Florida Bulls entered the 2013-2014 looking to return to the
NCAA Tournament after a year away but the AAC has proven to be one of the tougher conferences in the country and regular season
play has so far proven difficult for the Bulls. They sit in 8th place in the conference with a 3-11 record and four games
left to play, so the NCAA Tournament does not appear to be in the cards this season unless the Bulls can win the AAC Tournament.
However, the Bulls still have a chance to finish the season strong and some intriguing match ups in their remaining home games.
February 26th the #21 UCONN Huskies come to USF Sun Dome to take on the Bulls, giving South Florida the chance to avenge a
blowout loss at Connecticut earlier in the season. The final home game of the season comes on March 8th against the Temple
Owls. The Bulls already beat Temple in Philly this season and you can be sure that both sides will be laying it all on the
line to end the regular season with a victory.
When the game is on the line and your favorite
team is digging in looking to make a clutch bucket that seals a huge rivalry matchup, you'll understand loud and clear what
all the buzz around campus is about. True, there are plenty of options for seeing a big game these days, though there is still
no substitution for the experience you can get from the stands. Be there for all the most exciting moments in another college
basketball season filled with nail-biting action that will have you talking well after the final whistle, as these guys know
a thing or two about lighting up the scoreboard and putting on a show. We know the pros are great to watch too, but there's
something extra special about watching players when it's only team pride on the line, and as soon as you get out to a big
South Florida Bulls game, you'll definitely figure out what all the excitement about this program is about. This is a sport
that, frankly, shames the home viewing experience, as it doesn't matter how big the screens get or how amazing the sound systems.
Watching a big game live is still the only play if you're a college basketball fan looking to get the total experience.
The Bulls are gaining a reputation as a force in this conference more and more with every passing season,
and you'll see what all of the buzz is about if you get out and see the Bulls in person. The Bulls play their home games at
the USF Sun Dome, a place that always has plenty of excitement as dedicated Bulls' fans routinely show up to demonstrate their
team passion. This is a team that has been in the middle one of exciting game after another over the years in the AAC, a top-tier
conference with other talented squads like Cincinnati, Temple, Memphis and many others. Once you're there soaking up the vibes
of a great game that everyone is talking about, you will be kicking yourself for not making it sooner.
Florida Bulls Trivia
Did you know South Florida have sent on six different players to the NBA?
And not every
program can say that, as the Bulls have had plenty of big-time athletes come through the campus in Tampa. Legends like Dominque
Jones, Curtis Kitchen, Gary Alexander, Chucky Atkins, Jim Grandholm and Solomon Jones all played their college ball for South
Florida before heading to the next level, and you just never know when the next great player is going to burst onto the scene
with a banner day that has NBA teams taking a look.
South Florida Bulls History
The Bulls have been around
for a very long time, though it really all started coming together in the 1989-1990 season with their first NCAA Tournament
appearance. The Bulls would follow it up by making it to the Big Dance two years later and then again in 2012, showing that
this is a program that has a lot of fight to go with the talent that always comes to campus. As soon as you're there, you'll
never look at college basketball the same way ever again, as this is just one of those teams you need to see up close and
personal so you can get a feel for how dynamic they can be when they're on their A-game.
two great teams are going head-to-head and the buzz of the crowd is steadily rising as the clock dwindles in the second half,
you'll see that there is nothing like college basketball played at the highest possible level, particularly when it's a rising
team like the South Florida Bulls. With a great crowd that pours into the stands to provide the perfect backdrop for a big
game, this is a team that you definitely don't want to miss out on this season as they look to wreak havoc on the American,
a tough conference that brings out the best of the best. Once you're there alongside thousands of your fellow fans at USF
Sun Dome, you'll be glad that you're not anywhere else.
