Temple Owls Basketball Schedule
Every year rabid Temple Owls fans eagerly anticipate the start of the college hoops
season so they can head out to Liacouras Center to watch the team battle their way through a tough American Athletic Conference
schedule. The AAC may be new for Temple but they still get to face familiar foes like Georgetown and Connecticut who they
played regularly as members of the Big East. The 2013-2014 season has been a bit of a downer for the Owls so far as they sit
tied for last in conference play with a 2-11 AAC record. There is still plenty of hope for next year with several key players
returning and the best way to assure a good start to next season is by finishing up the 2013-2014 season strong.
March 1st the Houston Cougars come to Philly to take on the Owls in the second to last game at Liacouras Center this year.
Houston is having a bit of a down year as well and this game should be winnable for Temple. The final home game of the season
will be held on March 4th when the UCF Knights come to town. Currently Temple and UCF are tied for last in the AAC and this
game could decide who pulls ahead at the last minute to avoid a last place finish.

Temple Owls Basketball Conference
The Memphis Tigers play in the American
Athletic Conference which, like many other college athletic conferences, has gone under a lot of changes in recent years.
However, the American Conference has only benefited from the realignment with the addition of former Big East powerhouses
like the University of Connecticut, Louisville, Temple, and Rutgers. In addition to those schools, there are seven other members
of the conference: Houston, Memphis, South Florida, Central Florida, Cincinnati, and Southern Methodist. Currently four of
the colleges playing in the American Athletic Conference have won a National Championship: Connecticut, Louisville, Temple,
and Cincinnati. Both Louisville and Connecticut have each won three championships while Cincinnati has won two. The new American
Athletic Conference is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in all of college basketball and any team making it through
