About Role Model
Role Model is the stage name of Tucker Harrington Pillsbury, a singer-songwriter from Cape Elizabeth, Maine, who built a devoted following by recording intimate, confessional pop in his college dorm and closet before signing with Interscope Records. His music blends indie pop, Americana, and bedroom pop with acoustic guitar and lyrics that hit on relationships and self-reflection in a way critics have consistently called "relatable." From a self-released EP to a top-10 Billboard 200 album, his trajectory is one of genuine grassroots momentum turned mainstream recognition.
Pillsbury originally moved to Pittsburgh to study film at Point Park University, but a detour into music production sent his career in a completely different direction. After teaching himself to produce on Logic Pro, he started releasing rap mixtapes before pivoting to singing in 2017 under the name Role Model. His debut EP, Arizona in the Summer, caught the attention of Mac Miller, who invited him to Los Angeles. That connection helped open the door to Interscope, and by 2018 he was signed to both Interscope and Polydor Records.
Three EPs followed before his 2022 debut album, Rx. His second album, Kansas Anymore, arrived in July 2024 to positive reviews, with critics praising his evolution into a pop-folk sound. His third album, Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200 in 2026, alongside top-five chart positions in Australia and the UK. Role Model tickets give fans a chance to experience one of indie pop's most compelling live acts in person.
