some of the most thrilling games in the NCAA. A couple of weeks later on the 26th the North Carolina Tar Heels will be in
town bringing their highly touted young stars but the Wolfpack will be more than adequately prepared to pull of a big upset.

On March 9th the Wolfpack will close out their home schedule with a matchup
against the Boston College Eagles. The Eagles will look to soar into the arena and leave with a victory, but NC State is not
going to let that happen easily. The Wolfpack will look to play tough defense and let their crowd propel them to a victory
in this contest. The crowd is always a little extra excited for the last home game of the season, and 2013-14 should be no

North Carolina State Wolfpack History
The North Carolina State Wolfpack basketball program dates
all the way to the year 1910, and in more than a century of playing games this program has left its fans with many a memorable
season. The Wolfpack have had some great moments over the years, but one stands above the rest. The North Carolina State Wolfpack
won the National Championship in 1983 when they scored an improbable victory over the heavily favored Houston Cougars team
that featured two future NBA Hall of Famers, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler. The Wolfpack's coach at the time was Jim Valvano,
the legendary and inspirational coach who passed away from cancer in 1993, but was instrumental in the formation of Coaches
for Cancer and preseason basketball tournaments organized to raise money to battle cancer. A charity, The Jimmy V Foundation
was named in his honor.

over the years. One of the best players to ever hit the floor of North Carolina State was David Thompson. Thompson left fans
of the Wolfpack with plenty of memorable moments before moving on to play at the next level in the National Basketball Association.
Thompson put together one heck of a pro career as well, averaging more than 22 points per game for his career. Other notable
North Carolina State players include Tom Gugliotta, Vinny Del Negro and Julius Hodge. See who the next great NC State player
