can take down Iowa State on the court. The Longhorns always have one of the most talented roster in college hoops, and this
season should be no different. The Cyclones could get a huge win if they're prepared for this team, and they would absolutely
love to send the Longhorns back to Austin with a loss. This should be a fantastic game to attend in person, and the stands
are sure to be filled at Hilton Coliseum for this contest.
Iowa State will play their last home game of the season on
March 8th when they host the Oklahoma State Cowboys. This should be one of the biggest challenges that the Cyclones face all
season, and it would be incredible to pull off a victory in front of all their adoring fans to close out their home schedule.
The Cyclones will have to slow down point guard Marcus Smart, one of the best players in the nation, but if they can do that
they should have a real shot at emerging from the melee with a win.

years, dating back to 1944 and happening again as recently as 2012 and 2013. This is a team that always seems to be right
in the mix despite playing in one of the most difficult conferences in the country, and that's because their program tends
to draw some of the most talented ballers from all over to come to the campus and start lighting up the scoreboard for the
Cyclones. This is a team that has made it all the way to the Final Four (1944) and the Elite Eight (1944 and 2000) in addition
to regular first-round appearances and even three trips to the Sweet Sixteen. You never know when you're going to see the
next great player, making it always a good idea to keep an eye on the schedule.

Great Players for the Iowa
A lot of great players have taken the court for the Iowa State Cyclones basketball team over the years.
One such player was Jeff Hornacek, who had some fantastic seasons for the Cyclones before moving on the National Basketball
Association. Hornacek put together a very good pro career on the next level, notching more than 14 points per game for his
career. Hornacek has since become a coach and is currently the head coach of the NBA's Phoenix Suns. Other notable former
Cyclones to move on to the NBA include Jamaal Tinsley and Marcus Fizer.
