Player of the Year?
Though many basketball fans know him for his stellar career in the NBA, where he starred for a handful
of different times, King was nothing shy of a legend when he walked around the campus at the University of Tennessee. King
was the SEC Player of the Year each season from 1975-1977, eventually ending up as a consensus First Team All-American in
1977. Following his brilliant college career, King would go on to be selected with the seventh overall pick in the 1977 draft
by the New Jersey Nets.
